       I Karun Kumar Roy of village Brahmapura, District Deoghar (Jharkhand) would much demurely unveil the radiant past of my family and unfold my wistful aspirat-ions which fervidly seek their fulfilment in large dime- nsion.

                        I had a glorious past as my grand father Hon’ble Tinkori Roy, was the king of a state. His brother was a stalwart “FREEDOM-FIGHTER” of INDIA’S FREEDOM STRUGGLE who dedicated his whole life to the emancipation of the country from the shackles of slavery. His memories are enshrined in the lively monument in our village as “Shashi Bhushan High School ”.

                        My father, Nava Kumar Roy had been in Govt. services transferrable to different places. During seventies, he was transferred to Dumka. We lived in a rented house. I graduated myself from S.P college, Dumka and did L.L.B from Bhagalpur and Journalism from Delhi through correspondence course. We are three brothers and three sisters. My father retired from service in 1991.The period of 1991 to 1996 was a grim struggle for us as my father retired from service. I indulged myself in private tution in Dumka town which was a source of livelihood. My elder brother Barun Kumar Roy, an Arts graduate also began his career as a private-tutor who later obtained his employment in +2 Zila School Dumka. We both the brothers won much acclaim and recognition as proficient teachers. We developed much fascination for teaching, as such, we had aversion to other professions. We persistently conveyed to our father, who happened to be a profound lover of learning, to open up a private school in Dumka town. My father was much animated at the proposal. He jubilantly consented to us. Forth-with a building with spacious rooms was requisitioned on rent. The owner of the house was much elated to let out his building for a noble purpose. A team of ardent and dedicated teachers was selected. We avowedly decided to embellish the school with the excellences of learning and the basic requirements of teaching-aids together with Audio-visual aids. My father sincerely undertook the soul responsibility to elegantly emblazon the office in the highest academic standard and decorum.

                        The school session started in October 1996. I along with the team of proficient teachers toiled hard for abundant admission of students. To our great pleasure, There was a spate in admission. The school was named as “Green Mount Academy " In a short period the school ranged  its place above many schools and ascended the glimmering peaks of progress. It gained considerable momentum and ran in full swing.The former secretary of “Green Mount Academy” was my elder brother Sri Barun Kumar Roy who spared no pains for the elevation of the school.

                        The school is based on CBSE(New Delhi) pattern. To run the school, a society was basically needed to be organized. To serve the purpose “Santhal Parganas Educational Society” was formed. The members of the society comprise of the reputed persons and educationists of Dumka town. The prospectus of the school was formulated in order to boost up the allround moral, intellectual and social development of the students so that they may develop themselves into the assets of the Nation, We got N.O.C from the Jharkhand Government in 2004 and have already applied for the affiliation. We ardently expect its requisite affiliation erelong. We all are rejuvenated with the radiant flush of optimism to see the crowning success of our “Green Mount Academy ”.

                        I am still aspirant to realize the transcendental dreams of my father with the enchanting colours of the Rainbow. I have lofty expectations from the Green Mount Academy that the institution must herald a radiant dawn of learning for the swelling number of students and illumine the gloom of illiteracy for those who lag behind the march of culture and civilization.

                        TheGreen Mount Academy must adorn the future of the Jharkhand State with its serene and exquisite verdance and grandeur.

                  Besides attaining prodigious learning, the students must have abounding aptitude for various sports and games so that they may be both wise and healthy.

                        The students should be disciplined and develop a sublime moral character and soothing manners.
