Undeniably, both the intellectual and physical developments are indispensable for the students to become ideal citizens. My institution is much particular about the balanced development of the students. Reading is a pleasure no doubt but constant reading is very taxing. Then it becomes insipid dull, and dreary. A diversion is basically needed, otherwise students would develop an aversion to studies. Hence games and sports are the basic requirements. They can’t be dispensed with. Sports and Games provide rest and respite to the fatigued minds. They remove the drudgery of daily exertions of mind. Besides it, the participants undergo ample physical exercise which improves the general health of the students and builds the soundness of their bodies which enhances soundness of the mind. It is needless to say that a sound mind resides in a sound body. So in ancient times also, Olympic games and sports were solemnized. The value of games and sports was not underestimated in the remote past.

The sports and games instil sense of responsibility into the young minds along with vigilance which is the key to success. It sharpens the mind to avail of the jewels of time and practical wisdom. Now a days outstanding talent of an individual in any sport or game provides him an universal image.

A young boy is universally acclaimed for his bright performances in any sport or game So I have organized sports and games in my school and the students are sincerely inspired to do fairly well in them. Proficiency of a young boy in Olympic, enhances the dignity of the country to the apex.

They sports and games also enhance the stamina of the body supplemented with indomitable will-force of the students. They provide unswerving patience and forbearance too. They consolidate unity and fraternity among the students. They also promote love, dedication and fellow feeling, which is indispensably required in national and international spheres. I earnestly and sincerely popularize sports in my Green Mount Academy so that the institution may win wide eminence. I am sure, sports and games can create a conducive atmosphere of good will and communal tolerance. They can nurture and develop the spirit of national integration along with a broad international understanding.
